A
Grand Celebration of Sports Day:
To
nurture and bring out the sportsmanship spirit in children, SSRVM Mangalore
organised a grand Annual Sports Meet on Dec 6, 2018 at Mangala Sports Complex
Mangalore.
Major
Vijaya Kumar B, Principal, Government Polytechnic for Women, Mangalore was the
Chief Guest, President Dr. Vinaya Poornima, Vice President Sri Ganesh Somayaji,
Principal Saguna R Prabhu, all supportive parents and enthusiastic children
were present during the occasion.
Programme
started with an enchanting march past of students of four houses-Bhakti,
Shakti, Yukti and Shanti represented by Yellow, Red, Blue and Green colours
respectively. The students dressed with house colours put their steps together
to the vibrating beats of the band.
After
the grand march past and hoisting of the School flag by the Chief guest, the
guests and the parents were entertained with Chef dance by the Pre Primary
Section Students followed by Pom Pom drill dance, bamboo stick dance, Aigiri
Nandini-Durga dance and concluded with flower dance by students of Shanti
House.
Kids
cheerfully participated in various track and field events. It was a pleasure to
see all kids and parents cheering the participants tirelessly. We could observe
that all kids took winning and losing as part of the game, thoroughly enjoying
every moment and the whole process of participation.

K.Shivashankar Bhat, Associate Professor, Dept of Economics, Govinda Dasa
College, Suratkal was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory function of Sports
Meet.
Smt.
Sahana Shetty, was the excellent Master of Ceremony.Smt.Priyadarshini along
with Physical Education Director Sri Hemanth organised the whole event
meticulously.
Delicious
lunch prepared by the SSRVM kitchen team was served to all present at the
venue.The entire SSRVM team worked for the success of the Annual Athletic Meet.
Team of
Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Hospital supported the participating students with
all the First Aid and Medical needs.
